Weird... 

John Allen Muhammad, representing himself, has decided not to use the insanity defense. If he was crazy enough to shoot all those people and by some theory not be responsible for doing it, how could he then know whether or not he was crazy? Actually I'm glad it worked out this way. The amazing thing is that he could have conceivably gone the other way, deciding he was crazy, and then representing himself as such to the court. Crazy, over the rainbow, I am Crazy.

Which reminds me of a joke.

Two cows are in a field. One says to the other, "Hey, you hear about this Mad Cow disease?"

And the second cow says, "What are you talking about? I'm a helicopter!"
